Review Of
13 Pieces, Life With A Multiple By Mary Locke
Mary Locke had sent her book to a support group for multiples of which
I was a member when the book first came out for review, along with order
forms.
There were several of us that each took turns reading the book, and then
we had all discussed it with each other. I believe I gave it the best
review by saying, "At least she tried."
This book seemed to be one person trying very hard to not be blamed for
any of the problems in her relationship with a multiple. There seemed
to be whispers of passive-agressiveness with the way she would keep pointing
out that Marlana (the multiple in question) did not MEAN to hurt her.
There seems to be long spans of minute details of days that do nothing
to move the story along, and instead left the reader not caring. There
is not much at all in the way of helpful information or resource. This
is one book that I would pass on by on the bookshelf.
